Sarah Weiss, a 7th grader at Westside Middle School, brought a crowd of several hundred people to tears Tuesday night at the Embassy Suites in La Vista. She bravely shared her story of surviving a stroke just last year and her work ever since to raise money for the American Heart Association.
“She was amazing!” said Dr. Enid Schonewise, Westside Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, who attended the Go Red For Women Expo featuring Sarah and her story.
KMTV News Anchor Jennifer Griswold also shared Sarah’s story.
Great job, Sarah! We are so proud of you!
