Virtual Field Trips in Ms. Allen’s Classroom
Students in Social Studies 7 are currently learning about the Maya peoples as part of their Native American Unit. Miss Allen’s class took a virtual field trip to a variety of Mayan ruins in present-day Mexico and Guatemala, where they could walk around ancient pyramids, grave sites, and observatories. Students spent an extended time in Chichen Itza studying the landscapes.
Students in Miss Allen’s World Religions class are currently learning about Judaism, as a part of their Semitic Religion Unit. Using the virtual goggles, they were able to explore Jerusalem, focusing on the Western Wall, both on the outside and inside the Wilson Arch.
